Katie is known by her teachers to be a very conscientious and hard-working student.
She strives to do the best in all of her classes and walks into school every day with a smile. Katie is kind and respectful to adults and as evident by her willingness to help someone she had never met, Katie is someone with great character.
In late September, when a new student who did not speak English recently moved here from Ukraine, Katie stepped forward to help welcome her to Westfield.
Katie offered to translate for our new student, to introduce the young lady to her teachers and classmates, helped her find her way around the building, and made our new student feel more comfortable and supported.
Westfield is extremely proud to have Katie as a role model for her peers and exemplifies what it means to go above and beyond!
