Jake Kane is described by his teachers as being an outstanding student and a true example of what it means to be a Warrior.
Jake comes to class with a smile on his face, is respectful to all of his teachers, takes pride in his classwork, and is an exceptional leader among his classmates.
Jake was a member of the Cross Country team and currently serves as a Westfield Student Ambassador where he has been a New Student Mentor.
On more than one occasion, he has had the opportunity to welcome and be a "buddy" to new students. He takes them under his wing, helps them with their lockers and schedules, introduces them around, and makes sure that they are comfortable and can find their way.
Jake also supports and works with his peers in the role of being a Peer Tutor.
Due to being a leader among his peers, his dedication as a student, and his service to his peers as a mentor and tutor, the Board of Education is pleased to recognize Jake Kane as the Above and Beyond Award winner for Westfield Middle School in February.
