Principal Appreciation Week - During the week of October 19-25, we invite you to celebrate Principal Appreciation Week, and specifically, Principal Appreciation Day on October 24. We honor the work and commitment of Mark Dwyer, Stefan Larsson, Patrick Haugens, Heidi Weeks, and Stacy Johnston.
We encourage all staff members, students, and their families to recognize the hard work and dedication put forth by these individuals.
Character Counts! Celebration - The Character Counts! Celebration originally scheduled for Tuesday, October 14, 2014, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 21, 2014, at 7:00 p.m. at Old Town Park.
April 7, 2015 Consolidated General Election - Four terms on our seven-member Board of Education will expire in April 2015 – those of Mr. Terry McKeown, Ms. Tamara Peterson, Mrs. Susan Lancaster, and Mrs. Linda Wojcicki.
With the passage of HB 2418, the Board secretary is no longer responsible for School Board elections. Therefore, nominating petitions must be filed with the Election Authority (DuPage County Election Commission). Filing materials may be accessed via their website: www.dupageco.org/election/.
The first day that prospective candidates may circulate nominating petitions for signatures is September 23, 2014.
District 13 Staff Recognition - Is there a District 13 employee who has made a difference to you, your family or to someone in the community? We would like to hear about it! Please complete the Employee Recognition Form to acknowledge someone who is making a difference in our schools or community.
Pre School Screening - Pre School Screening is available to children who live within District 13 attendance boundaries at no cost to parents.

District 13’s Virtual Backpack -
School District 13 is using a Virtual
Backpack for distributing information to parents. The Virtual
Backpack is helping us “go green” by allowing approved
non-profit community organizations to post flyers online instead
of making and distributing hundreds of paper copies. Doing so will
also save the district and community members a tremendous amount
of time and money.

Parent Access is now available to all Westfield parents. PowerSchool

Late Bus Information - District
13 has a late bus that runs on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays,
beginning the second week of school. It arrives for pick up at Erickson
at 4:35, at DuJardin at 4:50, and at Westfield at 5:05. This one
bus covers most of the district bus territory, makes fewer stops,
and can take an hour or more to complete its run, depending on the
number of students. The late bus service is only available for regular
